Our First Post!

Hello everyone! Josiah Koenig here. Thank you for taking the time to read our blog. Every year the Canadian Lutheran Bible Institute (CLBI) sends out students on short term mission trips. Well actually they're called "I.M.P.A.C.T." trips (Intentional Ministry of Prayer And Cultural Training). My team will be going to a little country in South America called Suriname (map on side bar). I am the team Treasurer , Ryan is the team Leader and Medic and Mike is the Logistics Manager and Chaplin. We will be leaving January 3rd and expect to be back January 25th. While we are there we expect to be involved in anything they may have for us including bible studies, V.B.S. (Vacation Bible School),  and a work project (still unknown). We are excited to have the opportunity to go to Suriname because we believe that it is important for our own development as well as the potential impact we hope to make on the people there. We all realize three weeks may not be a lot of time to connect with people and make a difference, but believe that we, through God's grace and providence, will build deep relationships and encounter opportunities to let God change people's lives through us.
